The new Volkswagen Up! model was recently showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the September, where it had received an overwhelming response from the car enthusiasts and visitors. After its launch in the Indian market, the Volkswagen Up! model will be offered in both three and five door variants in the country, in the price segment of sub Rs 4 lakh.

Powered by a 1.0L engine, the Up! model will be delivering a peak power of 60 bhp. However, for the people who give more preference to the power of fuel economy, a 75bhp option of this engine is also expected to be offered. A CNG variant of the car will also be launched considering the rising fuel prices in the country.

In the UK market, the Up! is available in five variants including Up! Black, Up! White, High Up!, Move Up!, and Take Up!

Volkswagen Up!, one of the most awaited small hatchbacks in the Indian market, is in its final stage of testing on the Indian roads. As per the recent media reports, the car was recently spotted testing on the Indian roads, indicating towards its early launch in the Indian auto market. The Volkswagen UP! the front runner model of European auto giant Volkswagen’s new NSF (New Small Family). The car is bound to be showcased at the Delhi International Auto Expo in the Month of January 2012.
