Renault Pulse carries in the Indian market, as a competitive price tag is must in the cost sensitive Indian market
Renault India, a subsidiary of the France based leading car maker Renault, is all set to open its triumph card in the Indian market with the launch of much awaited small car Pulse at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2012 in the month of January. This will be the third model in the Renault’s India portfolio, where it already sells two premium segment cars including premium sedan Renault Fluence and luxury sports utility vehicle Renault Koleos.
The Pulse model fits very much in the top to down strategy adopted by Renault in the Indian market. Through this top to down approach, the company has first promoted the brand as a premium car maker in the country with cars like Fluence and Koleos, and now promising to carry forward the same class in the small car Pulse.
The all new Renault Pulse will be borrowing a number of styling and designing cues from the Nissan’s Micra model. However, the car will be blessed with a range of unique features which are more than enough to give it a unique identity in the Indian market.
Carrying a 1.5-litre dCi engine at its heart (the same engine that is currently available in the models like Nissan Micra and Mahindra Logan), the car comes with a considerably high fuel economy of 23 km per litre.
However, it remains to be seen, what price tag Renault Pulse carries in the Indian market, as a competitive price tag is must in the cost sensitive Indian market.
