Renault is currently 5th in the constructor’s championship and with only 6 races remaining
Despite having had an average season following a great start which saw two podium finishes in the first two races, Renault is confident of having a good 2012 season owing to a late resurgence in the last few races.

Renault is currently 5th in the constructor’s championship and with only 6 races remaining, will look to seal that spot at the end of the season. Having recently replaced Nick Heidfeld with Bruno Senna, the team has posted strong performances in the last two races, especially in qualifying and team principal Eric Boullier is confident that they can look forward to a good showing in 2012 F1 season.
“To be transparent with you, my first little happiness this year was that we were capable of producing a car at the beginning of the season that was able to fight for podiums,” said Boullier “That means that at home we have enough engineering and know-how to produce something good. Now, we understand why we could not catch up on the development speed, but I am confident that next year we will again be delivering a good car.”
“And, on top of this, we have isolated different parameters that will make us better – and clearly delivering much better now in 60 percent scale wind tunnel. So I am very positive, to be honest.” added the Renault boss.
