Luxury car maker Mercedes Benz India launched its car leasing business
Luxury car maker Mercedes Benz launched its car leasing business in the Indian market on Tuesday. The newly launched car leasing arm – Star Lease – will be renting the complete range of products of Mercedes Benz India in the country.The initial scheme launched by the firm, will offer the cars on lease on a monthly rental basis for the period of 12 to 36 months. Moreover, the customers will have an option of buying the car after leasing it for three year.
The financial services will be offered through Daimler Financial Services India. In a statement, Daimler Financial Services India Managing Director Sidhartha Nair said, “The Indian consumer’s appetite for luxury vehicles has been voracious and we foresee this growing in the future.
While launching the new car leasing business, Mercedes Benz India Director Sales and Marketing, Debashis Mitra said, “Consumers shall now have an option to drive away a Mercedes without any initial investment and just pay affordable rentals which shall cover all insurance and maintenance costs for three years.”
Initially, the cars will be offered on lease at Mercedes Benz India dealerships in the cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai.
Mercedes Benz India is currently the second largest car seller in the country, following its arch rival BMW at the top spot.
