Mahindra launched Scorpio LX 4×4 variant priced at Rs 9.17 lakh (ex-showroom delhi)
So if you are on your way to pick up a Scorpio check out with your nearest dealer for a Mahindra Scorpio LX 4×4.
There are minor changes when compared to Mahindra Scorpio LX version. The 4×4 version now has a 4×4 tag and four wheel shift option near the gear lever. Mahindra has untouched the engine. The 2.2 litre mHawk CRde turbo diesel will still power the 4×4 LX scorpio. Why would Mahindra want tweak the engine when everything seem to be running just smooth. If you are not acustomed to this engine, you should know the 2.2 litre mHawk CRDe is capable of producing 120 BHP and 290 Nm of Torque. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.
The new4x4 wheel drive system has made the scorpio 100 kgs heavier. However we do think it will have much affect on the Scorpio handling those boulders and your private estates. From the fuel efficiency platform we expect a slight dip in fuel efficiency figures especially in the 4×4 mode.
So now the rugged Scorpio gets even more rugged in the LX variant as well. What are your thoughts on the offering and price. Should Mahindra also throw in the Airbags and ABS for this price? Do let us know and stay tuned!
