Hyundai Eon, D-Lite+, Era+ and Magna+, is said to comprise of LPG fuel options, where the drive is powered by both petrol and LPG options
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the leading passenger car exporter of India, has launched three new versions of its latest entrant in the segment of compact hatchbacks, Eon. These new variants with additional innovative attributes will hit the Indian market with a price hike of around Rs. 7000.
The new variants of Hyundai Eon, D-Lite+, Era+ and Magna+, is said to comprise of LPG fuel options, where the drive is powered by both petrol and LPG options through a switch provided on the dashboard. With these new variants, Eon with LPG option is estimated to be costlier by Rs. 27000 as compared to their respective petrol options.
While speaking on this launch, Mr. H.W Park, Managing Director and Chief Executive, HMIL, said, “The idea behind the new variants is to offer extra value to our customers. The LPG variant forms part of Hyundai’s blue drive (eco-friendly) range which comes with factory-fitted separate petrol (32 liters) and LPG (34 liters) tanks that guarantees enhanced safety to customers with a two-year warranty,”
The base variant of Hyundai Eon, D-Lite+, is furnished with power steering as a standard feature in addition to enhanced features such as gear shift indicator, body colored bumpers and air conditioning and is said to be priced at Rs. 2.98 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The next available variant, Era+ comes with all the features of the D-Lite+ and further includes front power windows and center locking stepping up the safety quotient of the car. This variant is estimated to be priced at Rs 3.12 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Magna+, the top end variant of Eon, in addition to features of Era+, includes enhanced attributes such as two-din audio system with USB and Aux and will be tagged with a price of 3.42 lakhs (ex- showroom Delhi).
These new variants of Hyundai Eon will further strengthen its current market position by giving a tough competition to the other big players in this segment, such as Maruti’s Alto and A-Star, Tata Indica, Honda Brio and Chevrolet Spark.
