Honda launched Honda CBR250R
Greetings! Here is an exciting and much awaited piece of news for all the bikers. The wait for affordable 250cc bike is over as Honda launched their much talked about bike Honda CBR250R. There were grapevines in the market that Honda will launch this much awaited baby in first week of April or so but to everyone’s surprise they rolled out the bike quiet early.
Honda launched this bike in a rather ‘not so Honda fashion’ because the launch was not a commercial affair. The company rather opted for a silent launch that took all the bikers and bike enthusiasts with surprise. As anticipated, Honda CBR250R is launched in two variants i.e. one with ABS and another one without ABS.
The one with ABS is priced at Rs.1.63 Lakhs and another version with no ABS is priced at 1.43 Lakhs (both these prices are Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Japan’s tragedy is the reason why Honda did not have a commercial launch ceremony. This is Honda’s way to pay tribute to those died in Japan’s mishap.

The Honda CBR250R is powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 249 cc, 4-stroke engine that produce 25.8 Bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 22.56 Nm of maximum torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox (1-down, 5-up pattern). The bike has inherent capability of reaching the top speed of 160Kmph. The bike is capable of going from 0 to 100 in just 6.5 seconds. The bike will be available in three color options i.e. Red, Black and Silver. One thing that consumers might be disappointed about is that the racing stripes color option may not be available for time being. Honda plans to implant their success story in Indian market with CBR250R.
Overall the picture looks good for Honda but still there is a long way to go for the company. It might be probably for the no.1 spot. With the launch of CBR250R Honda will certainly aim to conquer a major part of market.
