The all new Ferrari 458 Italia Spider model carries a price tag of $320,000 in the US market, a price segment where it will be competing with the likes of Lamborghini Aventador, Audi R8 GT Spyder, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG and McLaren MP4-12C. The new 2012 Italia Spider is not only better in performance, but also delivers a better fuel economy.

The new Ferrari 458 Italia Spider model is the first ever super sports car that carries a combination of mid-placed engine and hard retractable top. The new 2012 458 Italia Spider hosts a powerful 4.5L V8 engine at its heart, that is capable of delivering a massive power of 570 bhp @ 9,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 542 Nm torque @ 6,000 rpm. The car takes just 3.4 seconds to break the speed barrier of 100 km per hour from a stand still position. The top speed of the car is 320 km per hour. Fuel economy of the car is bettered to 7.5 km per liter.
