Bajaj india to launch 125cc KTM bike priced at around 1 lakh rupees
Bajaj India which is currently evaluating their KTM range for an Indian debut, will most likely start with the 125cc Avatar motorcycle in the first quarter of next year. These bikes could be locally manufactured to keep costs under control. The bikes could be priced at around 1 lakh rupees.
KTM and Bajaj have been working for the last few months on the 125cc Avatar and will manufacture it in Chakan, Pune for international markets apart from India. All along we’ve thought there would only be a 125cc bike for the Avatar.
But now Motoroids reports that there could be more powerful engines accompanying the 125 at a later date. Even the 125cc engine on the international spec model will 15PS of power which will be less than the India-spec bike that will make close to 20PS.
The engines used on the KTM range could eventually funnel down into the next generation Pulsar.

We can clearly see that Bajaj is again planning in big for the Indian market and are quite hungry to regain every bit of the market share belonging to the TVS, Honda and Yamaha.
