San Storm convertible gets more powerful engine
Goa based company, San Motors is currently manufacturing two-seater ‘San Storm’ convertible since 1998 in India. This vehicle was basically designed by French Le Mans group. The company’s only known product is a convertible car with a soft top and what is so interesting about the car is its price. It is priced under Rs 6-lakh which is quite affordable and the home grown company does sell just 2-3 units a month.

The car is fun to drive but the refinement levels and features are not top notch. But at this price what more can you expect. Storm features a 1.2 liter engine, sourced from Renault that produces 60 BHP @ 5250 RPM of max power and 94 Nm @ 2500 RPM of peak torque. It could cover 0-100kph in 13 seconds.
San Storm convertible is priced at Rs 5.95-lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) and which is available in five colours including, Red, Black, Yellow, Grey and Blue. The Strom is measured at 3515 mm, 1515mm in width, 1275 mm in height, and 2250mm in wheelbase.
According to Zigwheels, San Motors is now planning on developing a much more powerful version of their affordable convertible car the Storm for the Indian market sensing the increased of the buyers. The company is also having plans on expanding its dealership network to increase its penetration in the Indian auto market.

The recent Formula 1 race at the Buddh International racing circuit at Greater Noida has got a part of the masses hooked up on racing cars. The growing popularity has got the government mulling on a new F1 racetrack for Mumbai as well. There is another motorsports race track in Chennai, popularly known as Irungattukottai Race track which has been in existence for quite some time.
