Audi India to strategies to increase sales but also will increase its capacity expansion by 2013
Audi India is currently going very strong in terms of sales and will strategize its plans to look further at various “volume drivers” to bypass Mercedes-Benz and become number two in the luxury segment in two years.

“The target to reach the second position in two years is achievable,” Mr. Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India said, adding that “We take that as a challenge. We would look at leadership by 2015. Next year we’re competing in a new segment (with the Q3 – compact SUV) and stepping up our operations. We’re the fastest growing within the Volkswagen Group”.
Globally, Audi is expecting to claim that it is positioned on the number two slot in the luxury segment up beating the Mercedes-Benz. In India, BMW is leading the way ahead in the luxury segment and the sales are accounted for 22000 units in the year 2011 and by 2015, the car is foreseeing to 55000-60000 units.

Audi Q3 SUV will directly compete against the BMW X1 which is doing very good in terms in sales.
Audi India to launch A3:
Apart from this, Audi India will launch few more models in the year 2013 and it is believed that the A3 sportsback is in the charts and expects that it will compete against the Mercedes-Benz B-class. Mercedes-Benz has planned to launch the B-Class model early 2012.
“We will test waters at the Auto Expo with hybrids as well – the A3 etron model. Next year we aim to be the fastest growing luxury brand. We hope to sell 7,500 units on a 50 per cent growth,” Mr. Perschke said.
