Audi india is to launch its A6 sedan on 3rd August
The Indian subsidiary of the Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi is all geared-up to launch its A6 sedan in the country on 3rd August (tomorrow). The company has already commenced the production of the car at its Aurangabad plant. The new Audi A6 will be brought to the Indian market through CKD (completely knocked-down) units route, followed by assembling at company’s plant in Maharashtra.

The car will be rolled-out in both petrol and diesel versions. The diesel version of the car will come powered by a 2.0L TDI diesel engine that has already been doing duties in the popular Audi Q5 crossover. The high powered diesel version will be powered by a 3.0L TDI diesel engine version will also be offered with Audi’s tried and tested Quattro four-wheel drive system.
On the other hand, for the buyers who are interested in buying petrol version, a 3.0 TFSI engine version will be on offer. The high powered petrol version will be capable of delivering a range leading 300 hp power. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox will be standard across the range (except base model). The base model will be joined with six-speed manual transmission.
The new Audi A6 will be much better in fuel economy and overall performance, thanks to its lighter weight that has been reduced by about 80 kg. What further enhances its fuel efficiency, is start-stop technology that will come standard with the car.
